This medium-sized amanita is found mainly in poplar stands and also in mixed forests, in summer and early autumn.
Cap
White, ± pale yellow or gray in the center, with a central bump, bare or with white velar remains.
Margin
Longly lined.
Gills
Whitish, sometimes tinged with salmon or to dessication.
Stalk
Equal, glabrous to finely fibrillous, white, hollow. The stipe emerges from a white membranous volva in the shape of a bag or a glove finger.
Flesh
White.
Chemical reactions
No reaction with KOH, NaOH, FeSO4, NH4OH and formalin. Strong reaction towards dark brown with phenol.
