Identifying Your Amanita
Habitat
This medium-sized amanita is found mainly in poplar stands and also in mixed forests, in summer and early autumn.
Cap
White, ± pale yellow or gray in the center, with a central bump, bare or with white velar remains.
Stalk
Equal, glabrous to finely fibrillous, white, hollow.
The stipe emerges from a white membranous volva in the shape of a bag or a glove finger.
