Brownish to more or less dark gray-brown, often bare.

Whitish, stuffed then hollow, finely fibrillous.
Stalk Feature
Partial white veil. Stipe enlarged at the base (not bulbous) emerging from a sac-like volva.
Flesh
White.
Chemical reactions
Color of the flesh beige with FeSO4 and brown with phenol. Coloring the cap beige with KOH and NaOH. Coloration of the cap and the stipe towards purplish to blackish with phenol.
