Mauricie, Qc., South of Shawinigan, La Gabelle-2.
To the south of the dam and the public parking lot, an old red oak forest contains beeches, maples, ash trees, birch trees, white pines, cedars and poplars; this forest is spread over 750 m long and 75 to 100 m wide, between the St-Maurice river and an abrupt embankment.
