Yellow-brown to rusty red, orange-yellow in age, margin paler than the center.

Adnate, depressed near the stalk at maturity.
Pores and Pore Surface
Pore surface whitish, becoming pale yellow and finally golden yellow in age, staining pale cinnamon when bruised; pores circular, 1-3 per mm.
Stalk
Enlarged towards the base, sometimes sub-bulbous.
Stalk Feature
Longitudinally striated at least in the upper portion, orange-yellow to tan, with a dull orange zone at the apex.
Flesh
Whitish to pale yellow, immutable.
