Habitat
On trunks and branches of dead trees, deciduous or coniferous, fallen on the ground. Annual.
Fruit body
Fully spread, crusted, often rounded in shape. Surface whitish, pinkish, reddish orange. Margin whitish to pinkish or concolorous with the fruiting surface.
Tubes
Absent.
Hymenium surface
Wavy, ornamented with various protuberances, often radially furrowed, orange, orange-red, purplish, grey-violet.
Pied
Absent.
Flesh
Gelatinous and tender. Concolorous with a fruiting surface.
Comments 
This phlebia spreads mainly under the trunks of dead trees leaning to the ground. It does not have tubes, gills or spines; the spores form on the surface of the fruiting bodies to subsequently spread in their environment and infect other trunks.
