Cap
Rusty brown to rusty golden yellow.
Margin
With a narrow band of sterile tissue.
Pores and Pore Surface
Pore surface yellow, staining blue when bruised; pores angular, 1-3 per mm.
Stalk
Equal to tapered in both directions, frequently off-center.
Stalk Feature
Finely tomentose, rusty brown to yellow brown.
Flesh
Flesh cream to yellowish, bluish (but sometimes not at all) when cut.
Basal Mycelium
Yellow.
Comments 
We enjoy to share these photos of a very rare bolete that decompose the roots and stumps of coniferous trees, in the company of the Phaeolus schweinitzii on which it would live as a parasite. It grow up when the Phaeolus was pointing on the ground surface. These photos were taken on July 25th. The literature say that it fruit in late summer and early autumn; perhaps, its great rarity is due to the fact that we do not look for him at the right time. F. Miron, biologist
