Habitat
Mainly deciduous undergrowth. On dead roots.
Cap
Velvety, fibrillous, finely cracked, yellowish-brown to reddish-brown.
Margin
Curved then straight, wavy, concolorous on the surface of the cap.
Tubes
Round to angular, thin-walled, easily visible to the naked eye. Decurrent.
Pores and Pore Surface
White, cream to yellowish.
Stalk
Stipe centred, rough and prolonged by a black pseudoroot.
Stalk Feature
Reticulated and yellowish at the apex. Reddish-brown to black towards the base.
Flesh
White to cream.
Basal Mycelium
White to cream.
