Cap
Tawny-olive or brownish gray.
Margin
Margin incurved when young, even lather.
Tubes
Adnate, depressed near the stalk.
Pores and Pore Surface
Pore surface yellowish to olive-brown, immutable or sometimes staining ochraceous or reddish when bruised; pores circular to angular, 1-2 mm wide.
Stalk
Nearly equal, usually curved at the base to meet the base of the scleroderma fruit body.
Stalk Feature
Partial veil and annulus absent. Brownish yellow, adorned with brownish fibrils.
Flesh
Whitish to pale lemon-yellow, immutable.
Basal Mycelium
White.
Comments 
Parasitic bolete is considered edible, but not recommended. The fruitbodies apear in early fall.
