Comments
In the field, it is difficult to differentiate between Oyster Mushroom and Summer Oyster, since the seasons overlap and the fruiting bodies are often similar. Microscopic criteria will confirm their identification. The stipe of Oyster Mushroom and Summer Oyster are lateral or off-center, or sometimes central if they fruit on the top of a trunk on the ground. The same is true for the Aspen Oyster.
