Cap
More or less regular, often depressed in the center, tomentose, then hispid to warty, zoned or not, cinnamon brown to dark rusty brown.
Margin
Thin, wavy, sometimes incised, paler in growth, fertile or not below.
Pores and Pore Surface
Cinnamon brown, ochraceous to rusty brown
Tubes
Angular, large, 1 to 3 per mm.
Stalk
More or less centered, thick, widened upwards or downwards, irregular. Tomentose, rugged, cinnamon brown to rusty brown.
Flesh
Brown and duplex.
