Cap
The cap is pinkish-red, sometimes yellow with a little pink as it ages, turning blue when bruised.

Adnate.
Pores and Pore Surface
Pores surface yellow initially, turning to olive brown with age, quickly turning blue when bruised; circular pores, 1 to 2 per mm.
Stalk
Pale yellow, duller or browner in age, reddish in places, blueing when bruised.
Stalk Feature
Non-reticulate, occasionally finely reticulate only at the very top.
Flesh
Total, rapid colour change to blue in the cap, yellowish in the stalk.
Comments 
Causing severe gastrointestinal distress in some individuals.
