Spreading and reflective, densely tomentose, white to pale buff, greyish with age.
Margin
Acute, wavy, concolorous on the surface of the cap.
Spines
Angular at the very beginning, quickly lacerated to give flattened prickles.
Hymenium surface
Pale white to tan.
Flesh
Tenacious, azonated, white to pale tan, up to 2 mm thick
