Habitat
In many habitats where deciduous trees are present; under fruit trees and shrubs. Growing very rarely on rotten wood. It’s the northern forest morel. Fruiting when the trees open their leaves.
Cap
Honeycomb, generally conical; very variable in shape and size. Hollow cap, the cavity extending to the base of the stipe.
Flesh
White in the stipe, beige in the cap, thin.
