Whitish to pale brownish at first, medium brown to darker with age or when bruised.
Stalk
Absent or short, centred or lateral.
Flesh
Cream to light brown.

In the literature, the number of tubes per mm is no longer a criterion for distinguishing Ganoderma sessile from Ganoderma tsugae.
