Comments 
The plicaturopsis crispa fructifies abundantly on the branches and trunks of dead deciduous trees. These very numerous small brown fruitbodies are often welded laterally to each other and arranged in tiers. Its gills are white, sinuous and wavy. It fruits mainly in late summer and fall.
