Cap
Viscous, glutinous, scattered with some reddish to cinnamon appressed scales.
Margin
Appendiculate with remnants of whitish cottony veil that may disappear in age.
Tubes
Short, adnate.
Pores and Pore Surface
Yellow to cinnamon, browning when bruised; pores angular, 1-2 per mm.
Stalk
Nearly equal or enlarged domnward, yellow to ochre-yellow mainly at the apex.
Stalk Feature
Ornate with reddish or dark brown dots and smears. Sometimes the secondary veil leaves a slight ring around the stalk.
Flesh
Yellow to olive-yellow, staining pinkish when cut.
Basal Mycelium
White.
