Pore surface brownish at first, becoming dull whitish, then pinkish and occasionally brown at maturity, staining brown when bruised; pores circular, 1-3 per mm.
Stalk
Equal to enlarged toward the base, white to brown.
Stalk Feature
Finely reticulate at the apex and sometimes staining olive brown when bruised.
Flesh
White, immutable, taste very bitter.
Basal Mycelium
White.
