Identifying Your Bolete
Cap
A small mushroom dark over all its parts and not very visible through the dead leaves. Cap brown at first, yellow-brown or gray-brown in age.
Pores and Pore Surface
Pore surface whitish at first, pale yellow or brown in age, staining blue when bruised; pores circular when young, becoming angular at maturity, 1-2 mm wide at maturity.
Stalk Feature
Brownish, with darker longitudinal streaks, paler near the apex and at the base, with green tints near the apex.
