Habitat
In the litter of coniferous undergrowth (sometimes of deciduous trees) where it breaks down the woody organic matter.
Cap
Convex at first, with a large umbo, funnel-shaped at maturity, brownish gray.
Margin
Acute, sometimes widely wavy and striate.
Gills
White at first then yellowish to pale chamois and decurrent.
Stalk
Central (sometimes off-center), equal, bulbous at the base.
Flesh
Whitish, thick in the center.
Unfit for human consumption
When the caps forms a funnel, the fruitbodies are at the end of their life.
Comments 
Consume without alcohol. English names: Club Foot, Clubfoot, Club-footed Clitocybe, Fat-footed Clitocybe. Latin names: Ampulloclitocybe clavipes, Clitocybe clavipes, Clavicybe clavipes.
