Forest dominated by conifers and some deciduous trees, especially birches and poplars ; also, a spruce and jack pine plantation on the north-west side. On a sandy soil, near the power lines, on Rang Saint-Mathieu.

Medium size fruitbodie, 12 cm high x 9.5 cm diameter for the cap.
Cap
Pale brown towards the margin, darker in the center, smooth surface.

Plain, spread apart, thin.

Olive yellow, turning blue when cut, depressed near the stipe.
Pores and Pore Surface
Olive-yellow to brownish, turning blue when bruised; round pores, 1.6 per mm.
