Mixed forest dominated by deciduous trees: maple, poplar, birch, various conifers and an island of larches in the south center.
Cap
Small fruitbodies whose cap is bumpy from a young age, pinkish at first and dull gray later; smooth surface.
Margin
Slightly appendiculated.
Tubes
Adnate, olive-yellow, turning blue when bruised.
Pores and Pore Surface
Pore surface pale yellow, turning blue when bruised, round and large pores.
Stalk
Slender, full.
Stalk Feature
Yellow towards the apex, reddish downward.
Flesh
Pale yellow turning blue in the cap and stem when cut.
Basal Mycelium
White.
