Until 2014 this small mushroom was considered part of the polyporales family; since then, the group's specialists have created the Stereopsidales family, which contains a single genus, that of Stereopsis. This small mushroom that looks like a flower has no tubes, blades or spines. It can be found in the undergrowth or along forest roads.
