MYCOTHEQUE NEWS

We are pleased to inform you that the photos of the first 5 groups of boletes are now inserted in the Mycotheque; we are currently working on group 5d, rough-footed boletes whose flesh turns grey-purple when cut. The other groups of boletes will be integrated during the fall.

A new group of photographers joined the team recruited in 2021 and the photos started to come in.

Below, the type of work that must be done to insert the photos in the Mycotheque.

The 2022 season looks promising.

INSERTION OF PHOTOS IN THE MYCOTHEQUE

- Grouped actions: reception and classification, identification, insertion of key words, compression rate, insertion in the Mycotheque; so 5 steps for each set of photos. Currently 560 series for 10,000 photos, so 2,800 grouped interventions.

-Individual actions: selection of photos, cropping and clarity, insertion of copyright; so 3 individual steps for each photo. Inserting 10,000 photos requires 30,000 individual interventions.

- So a grand total of 32,800 interventions per 10,000 photos inserted in the Mycotheque.

We are at 11,821 photos and 662 series.
